Before we can begin building we
need to be building on the proper foundation. We don’t want to be the one that
built their foundation upon the sand, who, during the first storm, is swept
away with the wind and rain. We want to be the ones that build their foundation
upon the rock and can take whatever storm, whatever turmoil and make it through
it. As a team we must build our foundation upon the rock. We all have
situations, circumstances but we can not close ourselves off! Open the door! We
weaken our foundation when we close in on ourselves. We must lean on God, lean
on each other in times of need. We must begin to cultivate and apply the
principles we have learned.
When we choose to make accursed
things our own, we are not only cursing ourselves but cursing our households,
our family, our team. We are once again weakening that foundation and bringing hardship
onto ourselves. The sin that you commit does not just affect you. They affect
everyone around you. We must begin to identify the weak links in our lives. Perhaps
WE are the weak links in our lives or have weak links inside of us. Garbage
inside of us that needs to be rid of. There is no room in the Kingdom for you
to carry your trash in. As we begin to identify our impoverished areas we need
to then deal with it. When we leave a wound untended it begins to get infected
and fester and spread. A small cut can turn into the need for an amputation.
Tend to your trash. Throw it out. You can spray air freshener, put the oils in
the diffuser but that does not take care of the source. The oils and air
fresheners will run out and your trash will still be there, rotting worse than
before.
Either you deal with your garbage
or God will. Those things are just not worth it. Though we desire them, they
are not worth the destruction they bring to our lives, to our teams lives. We
must deal with the trash, with the accursed items we have brought into our
lives and continue to keep around. If we work in impoverished settings, that
doesn’t mean to get rid of our jobs and quit. God called us to be lights in
those impoverished areas, to bring His word into those areas.
