Seeing the Big Picture

When wanting to see the bigger picture there are four things we must keep in mind. The first is that there will be a press against us. The best ways for us to strengthen as individuals and as a team is through the press. God doesn’t make us go through the hardships but he allows us to go through them so that we may strengthen. Fortification comes through the storm. If there are no storms to go through, what are we supposed to fortify against? Blind Bartimaeus didn’t let the people quiet him but pressed forward against them. The second thing we must do is let go of the past. As a team when it’s time to press, you need to press along with your team. If one of your team members or you, are holding onto the past, you are bringing the rest of the team down. We tend to carry in today the negative things that people did to us yesterday. Stop spending time looking back, look forward to the Cross. Sometimes we tend to get comfy in our bitterness and we bring others into our bitterness, shackling and slowing down everyone. Blind Bart threw off his beggar’s cloak. Jesus did not come so that you could continue to carry your beggar’s cloak. The third thing we must do to see the big picture is know what we need. Many of us do not know what they need. We must widen our gazes and desire to see in the areas where we have blind spots. When we are able to see in these areas where we are blind we are better able to see the big picture. To see God’s big picture. I pray that I would see me how He sees me. We need to understand that we have flaws and when we go back to fix those flaws, not to start over. We need to readjust, realign ourselves, not scrap it all and start from scratch. We should not throw out our gifts with the garbage. We are charged with protecting our dreams and gifts, cultivating them, seeing how our gifts can benefit the big picture. Every real team has a vision, a goal that they must reach. Every team needs to be looking up towards that goal. It is self-explanatory but if you are always looking down, you cannot look up. We need to begin to act on today the goals we have planned five, ten years from now. You won’t arrive there if you don’t start walking today.

Core, Crew, Crowd

Where we bring kingdom expansion, we bring kingdom blessing. As long as we are built on the foundation that is Jesus, Kingdom expansion is inevitable. There are many people in the body of Christ today that talk the talk but don’t walk the walk. They put on their make up and good clothes, go to church and pretend they don’t have mess. They envy after the brotherhood of the church, that team but you don’t get that brotherhood without sacrifice. You have to be willing to pay the price. How much of your talk are you willing to walk? There are three groups in the church. The first is the crowd. These people are like the 5,000 that Jesus fed. They are just part of the crowd. Members of the crowd come to receive something and that’s it. We need to begin to take what He’s given us and give it to others. We need to receive what Christ gives us but don’t let it stop there, we must pass it along. As you grow in your walk, church cannot simply be a refilling station. You’ve got to esta...

Action, Timing, Tenacity

God does not desire that the trials we face bring despair in our lives. God desires it brings about goodness and growth in our lives. God allowed the enemy to test Job but it wasn’t so that the enemy could test him. It was to put Job into a place so God could bless him the way He wanted. Now that doesn’t mean that sin takes place because it’s God’s will. Sometimes we’re stubborn enough that we need a little knock on the head. Jesus did not die on the cross for you to wander in the wilderness. It is time for you to enter into the promised land. When I come to the point in my spiritual maturity, enter into my place of kingdom purpose, there are still problems, but I know, good or bad, that God is there. There are many of us in the body of Christ who, we’re in church, but we haven’t crossed over the Jordan. We are still in the wilderness, wanting our tasty onions back in Egypt. It’s time for us to move on from Egypt. At some point we need to come to the realization that being in E...

Teamwork, Dream work

Teamwork is the only way the dream works. We need to begin to understand that when we go through the hard times, we are not alone. We do NOT stand alone. When we go through the hard times the first thing we want to do is step back. To take a break. Our dreams ought to be doing something, they ought to be working. Working dreams create the impossible, non-working dreams simply fade when you wake. I don’t want the destiny God has for me to vanish when I wake up. With work, dreams can come to pass. We can’t merely have a vision, we have to know where we are or we’ll never get to where we envision. We will not discover where we are if we have one perspective. A white, a black, a red, a yellow perspective. We must look from a Godly perspective. We live in a pagan world, any pagan perspective we bring to our starting point is already leading us the wrong way. You are first and foremost a child of God; we are held to a higher standard. In many ways the body of Christ is divided. We ha...
